What part of this is die cast?
Just wrhat part of this is die cast, one wonders. The roof. That's the answer. Just the roof. Oh well. More like molded plastic, I say. Good scale replica however and excellent pull back action if that's what you're looking for... For the real die cast experience see my reviews of 1:64 4runner and the pull back Kias and Hyundai's.This model has grown on me. I was wrong to reject it's plastic construction, which does not hurt the model in any way. Full marks for this one. It's very nice.

Fun
I was expecting this to be all metal, I should have paid more attention. It's metal and plastic. It's still nice and fun to play with. The back and side open up. You push it back and wind it and let it go, and it goes far ! My 14 month old Grandson loves it .

This Was The Gift To End All Gifts. For One Day, Anyhow.
I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my not quite 2 year old daughter, after I had seen her trying to steal a similar vehicle from her 3 year old cousin. It arrived as described, working just fine. I wrapped it for Christmas and placed it under the tree, to be opened Christmas morning. As predicted, my daughter loved helping open gifts, only to casually toss the gift itself aside to move on to the next unwrapping. Until she got to this toy. Once unwrapped, she did nothing but play with it, despite my repeated attempts to have her open the rest of her gifts. It proved to be no use. She became so enamoured of the vehicle that she would play with little else until she managed to lose the bus somewhere in the house. We did not finish unwrapping Christmas gifts until the morning of the 26th, by which the novelty had worn off and other toys had managed to successfully subvert her attention away from this toy. Which I found fortunate, as I play with is now and again myself. I do have an inner child, and as luck would have it, this child also likes this toy.I guess the old colloquialism is actually true: Like father, like daughter.
