Value, value, value! Never thought I’d love this slightly shimmery black shadow considering I’m a huge fan of Sephora but I’ve tried more expensive brands and overall, this goes on so smoothly and the color is totally buildable as the powder shadow is finer than most brands. Hence, it does dust more than other shadows - figure out what’s more important, smoother application or spillover dust. For me, 100% application over some shadow spilling on my vanity. Moreover, it’s versatile. You can use a thin eyeshadow sponge for lining and a thicker one as shadow. Covergirl, who would’ve thunk?!?

It’s an a sheer eyeshadow and I’mLoving it! Stays on for a good amount of time, and I have oily skin. It’s a sheer wash of color and I do t have to worry if I put on too much

Finally found the perfect everyday colors. It lasts all day and doesn't crease. This is my new go-to. Thanks CoverGirl!

I don’t have a ton of skill with eyeshadow. But I find these easy to use. I don’t do too much blending, but they layer on top of each other just fine. The colors are accurate in the pan and on the eye. I hate when I get a color that pulls totally different when applied. All cream and liquid eyeshadow creases on my eyes (I have moderately oily skin), and some powders do, but not these. I have partially hooded eyes but not a monolid. I’d say it pulls just slightly more neutral than the photos, though. Still a bit plummy / pinky, but not quite as much as the product photos suggest. The sparkly shades are subtle with their glitter even when applied. Not super pigmented but buildable.

I love cover girl products and this one doesn’t fail to please. However I ordered the pink palette and the first time got sent the purple palette, I contacted Amazon, they refunded my money and let me keep the product, so no harm, no foul. I ordered it again, and AGAIN received the purple palette.. FURIOUS, I contacted Amazon, they promptly refunded my money, this time I had to return the item though- went somewhere else and bought a different brand, but I think it’s good eyeshadow for the money, I also have some of the blush which I think is pretty good too. I grew up on cover girl, back in the day it was my go to. I use their foundation as well- the one for old people with oil of Olay in it lol- I do use other more expensive products in conjunction with these however I still use them. Can’t go wrong…

Mainly ordered this for the black shimmer color. It's definitely pretty, but there's a lot of cleanup involved.I've only used it maybe 5 times (haven't used the other colors yet) and you can see from the picture that it gets everywhere easily even though I go in very lightly with the brush.Speaking of which, there is *a lot* of fallout when applying. Definitely recommend applying this shadow *before* applying face makeup since cleanup will be needed. The black smears when you try to wipe it off your face so a makeup wipe or micellar water cotton pad will be needed to fully clean it off. On the plus side, random fallout during the day actually isn't too bad and even after 8-10 hours the shadow doesn't look faded or smeared.The sticker/seal that holds the case together leaves a sticky residue on the outside when removed before first use. I tried scraping the adhesive off with a makeup wipe but it just got soggy for a bit, then back to sticky 😑Also would like to point out that the enclosed applicator "wand" doesn't do the trick and the shadow went on very lightly while using it. However when using my own small angled brush, it went on very smoothly and much more pigmented. Just don't push your brush too hard into the eyeshadow or the whole thing will likely crumble.Might order this again despite the issues because the shimmery black is actually pretty and it's affordable. It just seems a bit messy.

Very subtle and great shades for cool skintones. A little shimmery but no garish glitter. Easily blends and stays on almost all day.

The color is beautiful..but unfortunately the eyeshadow arrived cracked and it was a mess..
