Nice change from usual feeders
Like the shape n easy to fill. Good value

Good basic design but needs extra ties - but not nets!
I agree with other reviewers that the gaps are far too wide to hold half eaten fat balls. To counteract that, I tied in 2 lengths of soft twist plant ties (each parallel to the centre spine and wrapped around each strut) and this works really well. Nets shouldn't be left on as this runs the real risk of entangling the delicate claws of small birds.

Half works!
Sturdy, and looks great when hung up and full of fat balls. However, I was mystified by how quickly the fat balls were disappearing. Did the birds really like this feeder that much?In fact no; what happens is when a fat ball is about half eaten it falls through the cage wires onto the ground. When I realised this I found a whole lot of half eaten balls in the long grass underneath the feeder. Now I have realised this I recover then and put them in a cylindrical 'normal' feeder where the cage wires are closer together,Therefore, looks nice; works after a fashion; but three stars for functionality!(Was this design invented by a fat ball manufacturer I ask myself?).

Not bad, easy to use and the birds like it
It's a bit wider than expected for our small fat balls, but they still work and all our birds eat from it! There's no hood at the top though, so pigeons can stand on it and gorge themselves so I ended up only filling it halfway.

THIS FEEDER IS A HAZARD!
PLEASE do not buy this fat ball feeder!I have never left a review on anything before, but felt this was too important not to let everyone else know.At first we thought this was excellent as you can fit so many fat balls in and lots of birds can be at it at the same time.HOWEVER after only one day of having it outside for the birds to enjoy, I looked out my bedroom window and saw that a starling was stuck inside it! Thankfully, we managed to carefully get it out but it took a while and was difficult to do as it must of gotten in from the top where you put the fat balls in and got stuck face down, it had its head out one gap, a wing through a different gap and the other wing through another gap. The poor thing was exhausted trying to escape and red under its wings, and if I hadn’t noticed it I think it would have broken its wings, legs or neck trying to flee, or could’ve been discovered by a cat etc.I think this could be a really good fat ball feeder if it had a closable lid where the fat balls are dropped in, but without this it is a danger to birds. We will be returning to Amazon and have put our old fat ball feeder up again instead.

Not so good if you like to remove the plastic from fat balls
I like to take off the plastic from the fat balls and saw from previous review you can do this and ‘spike’ them, but to me it just made them disintegrate. Ok if you keep the plastic on, I opted instead for a feeder

A very useful Fat Ball feeder.
Being circular, this feeder allows more small birds access to the Fat balls at the same time and also offers a more stable surface for the medium sized birds such as Black Birds and Starlings who have trouble balancing vertically. It was bought so that an elderly person could enjoy even more bird sightings at her feeders which are visible from her armchair. She is very pleased with the results from this Fat Ball Feeder.

Need to careful what you are suspending it from as only small eyelets on the unit otherwise good
Although quite sturdy there are only 2 small eyelets which connect the unit to whatever It is being Suspended From. Not big enough for ours.Very impressed with return policy and customer service
