I installed two of these lights on the backside of a headboard. The installation bracket and the housing are not toleranced correctly. In order to get the attachment screw through both of them, you need to not fasten the attachment bracket very tightly to the mounting surface, you have to leave a gap. Otherwise, the holes won't line up.Function wise, I don't like the function of this light as much as I like the old style lights from the same manufacturer, acegoo, found here:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076B33Y9T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1These old ones are easier to aim the light, more intuitive switch.

This is a well built (so far) light, with a reasonable, though not overly bright, beam. the touch switch felt a little finicky initially, but it just took acclimating to the control. fades from nothing to a fairly bright, but not ever BRIGHT, light. good for reading in a dark room. not good for a task light, or a portrait light, as some have inquired. it's cleanly designed. installation is mostly easy, but there is a TINY screw you have to thread blind, and alignment is by feel. there was some cursing during installation. (move the bed out of the way first. it helps.) after installation, no issues (aside from control acclimation) thus far. I liked it well enough to buy a second light for another location in the house.

I was going to hang these lights on the wall over the bed but determined they would be more useful on our nightstands. The screws adhered nicely to our wood bedside tables without any drilling. The lights rotate in a variety of ways to direct light for reading and when tilted to bounce off the wall they provide nice ambient night light. On and off with the touch of a finger and discreet enough to not disturb a sleeping bed partner. Very pleased!

This is perfect for a reading light. It is everything the seller promised and I would definitely buy it again. Easy to install and use. I love the feature that has it come on at the brightness you were last using. No glaring, bright light if it’s needed in the middle of the night.

This is a terrific lamp. I use it to illuminate a small work of art on a table. Pleasant color to light, not LED bluish, and the dimmer works well. Design, shape and finish of brushed metal, very nice. Solid feel. When I had a question concerning the lamp, the manufacturer was terrific with guidance and help. Very nicely done. Solid company. Perfect for my use in bed as I like and appreciate the dimmer function.As for the installation, it's a two-person job, in my opinion - very challenging. I installed it alone but it was difficult. Therefore, I gave it 4 stars.

I purchased a similar product to this one, a few years back, which worked out very well. My wife wanted one so I purchased this one, as it was the closest to what I have. What a mistake. The lamp light is terrible, the screws are of such poor quality that they broke off in the wood (even after pre-drilling). The screw that holds the base to the mount is too short and after a couple of moves of the neck it all broke apart. Its just a disappointing product. I wish I could return it, but my temper got the best of me, and now its in the garbage. What a POS.

This is exactly what we wanted. The beam has a relatively narrow focus...perfect for reading without lighting up the entire room. The switch is at the light end so no fumbling around trying to find the base. Also, the light has an adjustable head to easily direct the light away from a sleeping partner.Mounting on our "bookshelf" headboard was initially a bit of a challenge since the set screw is at the back of the base making it difficult to align the base to the bracket. However, once we decided to mount the light on a removable shelf, installation was a piece of cake!
