Plastic Living Whole Foods 5 Plant Growing Trays with Drain Holes (20" X 10"), 5 Pieces

Extremely poor quality, not worth it's price.

Everything came as expected.

These things are so bad, two of them cracked at the rim just picking them up. They are super flimsy and will not last. They literally feel as if I bought them from the Dollar Store. I bought some from Bootstrap Farmer for $15 more than these, however, I can assure you those I think will be the last set I need. The ones from Bootstrap Farmer were like Tupperware quality vs these dollar store quality ones.

Based on other reviews and the item photograph it seemed the drain-holes were too big so initially I ordered trays without drain holes and made my own holes. The small holes didn't work as the trays did not drain well and the holes got blocked with all the starchy runoff so that a lot of the bottom layer of grain got really funky. As a result I ordered these and have just logged on to order a second batch. Even though the holes seem really big - and, yes, the supplier clearly made the holes themselves - they work very well. Now I have to figure out what to do with all the trays from my first order with the small holes :(UPDATE: Previously when I ordered this the trays had long, narrow drainholes that worked well. I recently ordered more of these trays BUT now the drainholes are big and round so seedlings and wheatgrass fall right through. Completely useless.

The plastic was melted clear through until you could see the other side. The holes are each a few millimeters in diameter, some stretching out about an inch, forming a slot perpendicular to the length of the tray. There are very few holes, not allowing for full saturation in denser soils. The overall quality of the product looks very makeshift, like it was accomplished using a soldering gun. A drill against a hole-less container may be a better idea, especially considering the cost difference.
