Is it possible to be sexy in winter in a cold and grey city while wearing a parka and snow boots? Yes if you're George Peppard.
First of all, don't be afraid of ordering this DVD from Spain. You can change the language: go to Idiomas and then select Ingles (English). The reason I bought Torn between Two Lovers is because I'm a big fan of George Peppard. Lee Remick was also a great actress. Both Peppard and Remick were taken away too soon (both died from cancer).Lee Remick's character leads a happy life with husband and son. She meets a very handsome architect (George Peppard) while stranded at the airport. She falls in love with the architect but is still loyal to her husband (played by Joe Bologna). So she is torn between husband and lover. She chooses to stay with the husband though things will never be the same as before. I don't like the ending mainly because being a hot-blooded and hot-tempered woman, I would have given half of my country to live with/love/sleep with G. Peppard. The screenwriters did what they wanted to do or what they had to do - this is after all a made-for-TV romance.Good movie with a bittersweet ending. Buy it and watch it for Lee Remick and George Peppard. Special mention goes to the helicopter scene - very nice aerial views of Chicago. And a special mention for Delbert Mann: have a look on Wikipedia to know who he was and what he did!

Bought this as a gift and they haven't complained:)
I bought this as a gift for someone and got this delivered to them directly. so I cannot rate this properly really. Just a note, this is in Spanish or Italian, you'd have to change the setting to English.

Routine adultery movie
When a married woman (Lee Remick) is stranded at a snowbound airport, she meets an architect (George Peppard) and while there's an undeniable attraction, she prevents it from going further. But when he seeks her out, a seed is planted that will bear that will hurt everybody. Movies based on hit records have been done several times (HARPER VALLEY PTA and ODE TO BILLIE JOE come to mind) and, perhaps inevitably, they're never very good. TORN BETWEEN TWO LOVERS was a huge hit in 1977 going to no. 1 on the charts but it's a pretty sappy song. Films about adultery are tricky, if there's to be any sympathy for its characters, the adultery needs to be justified in some way. An unhappy marriage, an irresistible attraction between two people ... something. There's no sympathy for Remick's dilemma. She's got a good marriage to a great guy (Joseph Bologna) and while Remick and Peppard are certainly attractive, there's no sense of a passion so great that it can't be denied. Instead, what we get is the usual man with the nice little wife at home with a mistress on the side and each only getting 50% of him plot. Only this time, the genders are reversed. It's an unremarkable TV movie of week, only with a higher caliber of actors and director (Delbert Mann, MARTY). With Giorgio Tozzi and Andrea Martin. The Sogemedia DVD from Spain is an adequate transfer with both English and Spanish soundtracks and easily disabled Spanish subtitles.
