Setup was easy enough for a technically inclined person. As a note, when connecting to Wi-Fi, I could not connect when the router was set to automatic (2.4Ghz/5Ghz). Changing the router settings to 2.4Ghz instead of automatic worked, then I changed the router back to automatic after the initial setup and devices stayed connected. This is not compatible with 5Ghz, so routers with a 'smart' connect feature may not show up as an available network. If you are experiencing this problem, try what I previously explained. This is probably what the issue was for the couple negative reviews.Sensors work great and alarms are audible. The alarms sounded immediately when in contact with water. I did not link to Alexa or Google. Notifications through the app worked well and the base station/sensor alarms are loud enough to hear. Volume can be adjusted.Sensors show up as sensor 1, sensor 2, etc. in the app. I labeled each one with their intended location and then tested in shallow water for immersion sensing, waited to see which sensor triggered the alarm in the app, then renamed the sensors in the app so I know the location.

The app was easy to setup, although the instructions could be clearer. The alarm sound is loud enough and the communication between the hub and the sensor works well. Really great addition to the house to detect water leak from main water inlet, water tank and pipe running in the basement ceiling. I tested the sensor with water, and the sensors worked fine -- the app on my phone informed me of the leak. You can also desactivate the sensors from the app. The Wifi option is great and will keep me posted while I'm away if the house gets flooded!

My only issue is that so far I haven't figured out how to use it with Alexa. Other than that, the notifications come to the phone very quickly and I really like that. The main hub also goes off.

This water leak detector is economical and easy to set up. I use it in my detached garage that I sometimes go several days without entering. It gives me piece of mind that I will be alerted to a leak from the toilet or sink in the garage apartment bathroom. I'd recommend this system based on the simply installation/setup and ease of mind that it provides.
