Q: So its about the size of a chapstick? Kind of hard to gauge the size

This item is .6 oz which is larger than a traditional .15oz lip balm. It's closer in size to a roll of quarters.

Q: Isn't ricin in ricinus communis used for chemical warfare? (aka breaking bad) is castor oil safe? ricin is found in the hull of the castor bean....

used in this manner, it is completely safe (akin to apple seeds, which contain cyanide)

Q: Does this work against noseeums?

Do you mean fleas, bed bugs or sand flies? I used it for travel in southeast Asia to prevent mosquito bites. It worked fine for that. Sorry, can't be more helpful.

Q: Does this product repel ticks?

I am not sure. It does contain some oils which might but I think it is more for flying insects. I use it for mosquitoes and it is awesome. Haven't tested with ticks.
