I’ve had my Komodo Joe Junior since 2015. It’s been great, And I’m always looking for new additions. I ordered the soapstone for use as a searing surface, And it does a wonderful job.I reverse seared a nice ribeye using it, and the outer bark turned out fantastic.Also good for friying bacon and eggs. Highly recommended.

I love this soapstone! It fits my Big Green Egg MiniMax perfectly, well made, sturdy but not too heavy and versatile. It sears meats and seafood beautifully. It's easy to clean and is resistant to bacteria. Scallops, salmon and steaks came out perfect. If you haven't tried a soapstone plate yet, I HIGHLY recommend it.

My son in law loved using my stone so I bought him one for Christmas. He is thrilled to have one for his Kamado Joe. Highly recommend

I had been cautious with buying one of these because I had heard they can crack, and wasn’t that the truth. This stone made two whole cooks before developing the cracks in the photo. I expect this product will be cracked in half by the next cook given how rapidly the crack spread during the second cook.Very unimpressed and disappointed.

This item was bought to use on a Kamado Joe Jr. It fits perfectly and provides a perfect cooking surface for sear sealing slow-cooked beef. It works very well as a pizza stone too. I love using it and highly recommend this soapstone accessory.

I received it broken in two pieces. Kamodo Joe said talk to Amazon as they have a good process. Amazon said sorry can’t help you. I live in a place where delivery is very expensive so I ship to a reshipper and they deliver it to me with other packages. Amazon said read their T’s and C’s. I ended up buying a couple of large hose clamps and attaching them together to hold the two parts together. I am still able to use both sides and it seems to be holding. If your stone breaks, you might want to try this out.

I initially gave this a 1 star because the stone cracked after only a few uses, however when I contacted Kamado Joe the immediately sent out a replacement. Because of the service, I am changing my review to 4 stars. The one star reduction is because of the initial crack.
