Most legible Douay Rheims Bible I've Encountered
I was happy to be able to purchase this Douay Rheims edition for under $39. I was trying to decide between this edition or the Baronius Standard edition. I'm so glad I picked this one because the font is darker, larger, and very legible to read. The two ribbons are the largest I've seen for a Douay Rheims Bible. I think it would have been a nice touch if there was gold gilded edges but as far as a daily Bible this one is fantastic and highly recommended if you want to get Douay Rheims Bible.

Print is very readable and larger than expected
This version of the DR Bible is wonderful. The size is quite portable and is very sturdy. I returned several other versions of this bible because the font, while advertised as large or at 11 points was tiny and then the notes even smaller. This bibles font is very easy to read and introductions to bible sections a nice size. The footnotes are also a bit bigger than what I had expected.I would definitely endorse the purchase of this bible/vendor if you have issues with small print bibles.

Well constructed, beautiful Holy Catholic Bible.
This is a beautiful, well-constructed Bible. The Preface by W.H. McClellan provides a wonderful introduction of encouragement to read the Bible and how and why to read it! The Encyclical Letter by Pope Leo XIII is terrific in being an informative guide and resource of understanding the Holy Bible. The Binding and print font are excellent and just right for me. Seems that with care this Bible should last the rest of my lifetime. There are also a few wonderful, beautiful pictures before the Bible begins.

One of first translations into English . Nice high qualityConstructed Bible at reasonable cost.
Obviously the main reason I like that this Bible is Pre-Vatican 2, with scriptures from the Latin Vulgate Old Testament and New Testament. Originally published by Douay Bible House in 1941, based on Old Testament first published in 1609 and New Testament first published 1582.The book itself is well constructed with leather sewn binder and cover, nice crisp legible text, and index by names of books and in order under Old and New Testaments. Two nice ribbons to keep placeholders. This is my main Bible used with reference to The New American Bible 1970 if trouble with older language.

The Only Bible I’ll Ever Carry Now
Loreto Publications has my full approval as a Glad Trad Catholic :) They don’t fall prey to any of the liberal/modernist traps. I highly recommend checking out their website and getting their Sunday missal, too. It’s called Ad Altare Dei - it’s quite the charm!

Relatively small footprint hardcover bible with a bold 11 point font; Decent paper some ghosting.
Font is a Bold 11 Point Font. Similar to Times New Roman but letters are not as well spaced, a little bit smushed but not bad. Paper is thin and there is some shadowing. Size and weight are a nice balance to hold and read comfortably. Some of the chapter heading in the back are in the wrong spot but a little bit of pencil work fixes that. Overall, one of the best Douay Rheims bible available on the market. Would have been nice if it was a 12 point font with a slightly larger foot print. I had to laminate one of my two copies that i ordered "Used like New" since it had lots of minor damage to the edges and top of the spine. I included a pic of the bible alongside the Haydock version that i also own.
