Fit a 700 ml bottle of frozen water perfectly. Was snug enough not to slide around but loose enough to easily retrieve and replace while out walking or jogging. The sport cap was outside of the drawstring so more than three quarters of the bottle was contained within the bag. After 2 hours in 85-90 degree temperatures the bottle was still half frozen. I haven't tried a full liter yet but I don't doubt that will work similarly.The front pocket is really small. Credit cards and single keys would be a good fit. I managed to get in my car key ring which has a small car fob, long car key, and 3 door keys; but, it was a dickens of a time getting them out again. With the nice zippered pocket, I had hoped to be able to carry just this while out on my jogs and not worry about losing my keys, but its too hard to get in and out unless I only carry the key that is needed that day.I had been looking for a bottle holder that could strap onto a belt and thought between the included carabiner and strap I could rig something. I was pleasantly surprised that I could adjust the shoulder strap to fit around my waist so I could carry it on my hip with more stability that just the carabiner in the rear. For a normal stroll the carabiner itself seemed adequate. Since the strap is removable, you can also change it out with a size that fits your needs.

I love this little water bottle carrier. It is spacey with room for a regular sized 16.9 oz water bottle and room to spare. I ordered this to take to Walt Disney World, and we were able to put a water bottle in a zip up bottle cozy or an insulated bottle holder which kept the water colder for most of the day, even in the Florida heat. There was also room for a container of pennies and quarters for the penny machines or a small snack and we could carry our Photopass cards in the side zipper pocket. This water bottle carrier held up well with all of those items and a few carabiner clips hooked on to carry various other light items. It also fits a filtered Brita water bottle perfectly and even some slightly larger filtered water bottles. And the red color with black straps was perfect keeping in theme with Walt Disney World. I agree with a previous review that you can almost fit two water bottles, with one sticking slightly out of the top, just cinch the drawstrings and it stays in there fine. All in all, this carrier was very convienent and has been added to our stash of gear to take with us, even to the zoo for the day. The souvenier cups at the zoo or amusement parks fit perfectly in this oversized carrier, making it ultra convienent.

After searching for a water bottle holder, I finally found this one. I was surprised that I was not able to find one in any sporting good stores or outfitters that carry hiking and camping equipment. I purchased 4 of these and we use them ALL the time. It makes it so easy to carry a water bottle and it holds a variety of sizes. We have 16 and 22 oz refillable water bottles and it holds both of them. There is a small zipper pocket that holds a small size hand gel. I also like that if I carry a back back or bag with water bottle holders on the side, I can take the straps off and slip this into the mesh pocket. It keeps drinks cold and also keeps the condensation from dripping through the mesh pockets. I have also given these as gifts (and I lost one), so I recently ordered 4 more. Two of the 1L & Two of the 2L. I have not used the 2L yet, but I did put a 2L bottle of soda in it and it fit perfect. I also put 2 of the smaller bottles in it together and it held 2. Unless you carry 2 liter bottles with you, I wouldn't bother with the large size. They are also easy to keep clean. The only thing I didn't like was that it didn't ship from amazon, so I had to pay shipping fees which I thought were high considering these don't weigh much.

I ordered a case of six 1/2 glass gallon growlers for $30 bucks. And I might be using all 6 at any given moment and wishing I had more since I do a little home brew on the side.I am walking into the local micro-brewery with three of those bad boys slung over my shoulder carried by 3 of these Bluewave Insulated Sport Sac Water Bottle Holder[s], Black, 2L; and not having to worry about the growlers clanging together as I hoist them over the bar to be quaffed full of my favorite local micro-brew. A two weeks supply of premium brew that will keep ice cold and stay fresh in the frig sealed tight in those glass growlers with poly-seal caps. Saves me a trip across town 2 times a week. Yummy.These sport sacs are robust, padded and gathered at the top and fit those glass growlers perfectly. If you are concerned about cold storage as you are transporting the booty back to home base on those hot summer nights, I recommend the Coleman 16 Quart Excursion® Cooler filled with ice and safely buckled into the back seat.

I was surprised just how well this kept my water cold while on a day hike on a hot, muggy day. Even if it didn't stay frosty, it stayed cool enough to really be thirst quenching and pleasant to drink. It doesn't look like much, but it does its job and that's all I ask for. It also has a convenient little zippered pocket on the front that I stick my keys and/or a credit card or my license in. The only thing that irks me is that it doesn't stay on my shoulder very well. While it's long enough to sling diagonally over my torso, I don't find that comfortable so I don't wear it that way. Still, that's only a very minor annoyance. I bought the red 1L and find the color nice and attractive and the size perfect for any 1L bottle.ETA: I bought another blue one that I use as a random junk back for dog items when I go one a short hike or to the dog park. It's the perfect size to bring treats (in a ziploc baggy) and a ball, hold my keys and wallet without having to buy a more expensive bag meant specifically to be a treat bag. So, doubly beneficial!

It is advertised as holding 1 litre of water, but when I put in a 500ml normal plastic water bottle in it, there was certainly no room for another 500ml bottle, so I am not sure why it is advertised as being 1 litre. However, it looks as though it will be suitable for what I ordered it for - touring in a hot climate - so I have ordered another one.
