I've had these dishes for two years now and they are holding up well. I use all of my dishes regularly, as everyday dishes, and they're still in nearly perfect condition except for one chip in the rim of biscuit-colored cereal bowl, but considering that I stack my bowls in the cabinet and am not always gentle in putting them away, I think those are pretty good odds. I do not stack mugs and rims DO chip from stacking so if you're careful there, they should be fine.The blue shade is my favorite but food looks amazing against the white dishes. I'm not crazy about the biscuit but they all work well together and I get lots of compliments on these. They're classic but with a twist, made of delicate porcelain but durable, and really versatile. I wanted porcelain dishes, not stoneware, and I wanted them to be dishwasher and microwave safe. These go beyond and are also oven and freezer safe! Not that I've ever put any in the freezer but I bake and cook a lot and these have stood up to lots of use.They're also versatile in that I occasionally see a dish design that I have to have, usually at anthropologie. So I've bought random pieces here and there: dessert plates, a platter, teacups, etc. and they all coordinate beautifully with this set. They also look fabulous with an enameled cast iron pot or stainless roasting pan etc when everything is on the table. They're both rustic and classy, beautiful and simple, not too fussy, and have served me really well. I have my eye on a few other pieces and I expect these to last a long time.This bowl is so beautiful that I sometimes leave it out on the counter. It looks spectacular as a fruit bowl, with a green salad for a dinner party, or with a summery pasta salad. You could even serve some sort of a dessert in it. Also works really well for parties, could even be a classy chip bowl, or as a serving dish on a buffet. I lvoe these bowls and have them in all three sizes but the medium has proven to be the most versatile, and everything looks better against the white porcelain! Highly recommend!

I bought this medium sized salad serving bowl to replace something similar that I no longer have, but do occasionally still need to use. I chose this Sophie Conran bowl mostly because I liked both the color, which is a gorgeous light celadon green, and also the style of the bowl, which I thought would be close enough to the right size bowl I needed. (Please make sure you use the seller's image of this bowl to reference the color, as my camera is not picking up the color of the bowl properly). I also love what I would describe as the free form curvaceous design of this salad bowl. While the bowl starts out as round in shape at the base, it ends up being slightly elongated and more oval in shape by the the top of the bowl. In designing the bowl with that shape, the rim ends up being higher at the middle of the bowl than it is at either end. The bowl itself has circular ridges throughout the bowl, both on the inside and outside, which not only adds interest to the bowl, but does give it a better grip, not that this bowl is heavy or in any way hard to carry. The simple, organic design of this bowl makes it useful not only for more elegant meals, but also for simple outdoor gatherings with friends. Just for reference - the length of this bowl is 11 inches at the longest part at the rim, the width is 10 inches at the narrowest part of the rim. It 4 inches tall base to rim at the bowl's highest point, and about 3 inches tall base to rim at its lowest point.

Love the shape and texture of this bowl It is perfect for a salad to serve with the rectangular casserole. It comes in a really nice box and lovely tissue padding. Very happy with this purchase.

The color is beautiful, but subtle. Fruit bowl, though not this pineapple - that's for scale, salad bowl, etc.

I purchased this lovely salad bowl to hold my fruit. It fits beautifully with or without anything in it. The price is exceptional and I love this piece to death. It is chic and goes with practically ANY style, contemporary, modern, traditional and/or country. I highly recommend it!

I was looking for a reasonably priced warm white piece to store in-progress yarn crafts, patterns and supplies--but that could also be used for chips, salad, and popcorn when I have guests. This is a good, versatile size for those purposes. It is a warm white, and because of the rippling, which casts shadows, the piece manages to work with whites and ivories. I have old ivory Gibson dishes--works with those, and it looks great with the white serving pieces that Target always sells. Best of all, it is dishwasher, microwave, freezer, oven-to-table safe.** What's not to love?

Das Design gefällt uns nach wie vor sehr gut. Es ist zeitlos. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es für die schlechte Verpackung. Das grüne Einlagepapier ist am Unterrand der großen Schale durch Abrieb sichtbar. Der Karton war an vielen Stellen eingerissen und nur durch das Klebeband gesichert. Für den Transport von Porzellan sehr ungünstig.
